Community Nursing Care

As a significant component of the Ziwa community nursing care programme, participants are encouraged to become self-sufficient in their health care. Participants in the community nursing care programme are taught how to care for their own health in situations such as medicine, wound care, cleanliness, and assistance with washing or dressing.

- Visiting nurse and assessment

- Developing treatment plans

- Case management

- Setting up medication

- Medication administration/supervision

- Wound care

- Stoma care

- Respiratory support

- Continence advice and management

- Palliative support

- Diabetes management

- Dementia management

- Hospital stay after-care

- Overnight nursing care

- Monitoring of vitals

- Education for participants and their families
